Welcome to Katonah/Lewisboro New York

Katonah NY is a hamlet of Bedford, located in the Northeast corner of Westchester County. Katonah has a population of 12.438, covering 55 square miles. Katonah is rich in history and known as the center for cultural activity in Northern Westchester. Katonah's cultural attractions include the John Jay Homestead, the Katonah Museum of Art and the Caramoor Center for Music and Arts. Katonah is a wonderful place for families. In addition to its cultural offerings, Katonah has excellent recreational facilities including the Lewisboro Town Pool and the Harvey Ice Rink at the private Harvey School, and an excellent school system, which serves a student population of 4.100 students. The school system serves families from Katonah, Lewisboro, Golden's Bridge, South Salem, Cross River and Vista. There are 4 elementary schools, 1 middle school and 1 high school.

John Jay Homestead State Historic Site

This is the historic house of Founding Father John Jay. Monthly children's programs for families and elementary school-aged children. Annual programs include a summer history camp for children entering grades 2 through 6 and other family friendly events such as the annual Homestead Country Fair.

Junior League of Northern Westchester
