Welcome to Bedford/Bedford Hills New York
Bedford Village and its town government seat of Bedford Hills NY are located in Northern Westchester County, one hour north of New York City. The population of 9,370 people, spread over 12.4 square miles, enjoys a wonderful environment for families, including 5 parks, a vast array of recreational activities, nature trails and 2 pools. Bedford is known for its nature preservation, farms and estates, with open space being a high priority. Over 400 acres of Westmoreland Sanctuary fall within Bedford's borders. Bedford Hills is better known as the business center along the Route 117 corridor to Mount Kisco. Bedford is recognized for its excellent schools. The Bedford Central School District includes 5 elementary schools which funnel into one middle and one high school.
